About five years ago, I was just a young guy with a passion for design.

I started out as a simple graphic designer, creating posts for Facebook pages like Al Ahly, Nogoom Masreya, and other general content pages.

Each design I made was worth no more than 5 EGP, but my goal wasn’t money — it was to support my education and pay for internet bills in the days of painfully slow connections.

I spent countless hours in tech and design forums because I was curious about everything — how developers worked, how programs were made, and how ideas turned into tools.

That curiosity led me to meet Mohamed, a programmer from Alexandria who wanted to build a marketing tool.

We sat together, discussed his vision, and I began sketching and writing ideas — without even knowing what “User Experience” or “UI Design” meant. I just followed my instincts.

By God’s grace, that project came to life — designed entirely in Photoshop — and earned over 80,000 EGP in its first week.

It was a big success, but the biggest reward was discovering something new about myself.

A few weeks later, I was chatting with a school friend and told him about the project.

He smiled and said a sentence that changed everything:

“What you’re doing is called UI Design.”

That moment became my turning point.

I went home, started researching, and found a whole new world waiting for me.

From that day, I started studying design seriously — taking online courses (mostly in English), learning about UX, and discovering how psychology shapes the way users think, feel, and act. It was the start of a journey that completely changed my mindset

And here I am today — sharing my story on my own website.
